Dr. Rajesh Bindal

Dr. Rajesh Bindal is a board-certified Neurosurgeon practicing in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Bindal received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, attending the Honors Program in Medical Education. He was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in medical school. After completing 6 years in residency training in Neurological Surgery, he returned to the Houston area, where he grew up. He began his private practice in 2001 in the Texas Medical Center. In 2005 he moved his practice to Sugar Land, Texas and became the first full time neurosurgical practice in Fort Bend County. He was instrumental in the development of the Methodist Sugar Land Spine Center and served as Director of the program from 2009 -2013. As the demand for expanded neuroscience service lines grew in Fort Bend County, Dr. Bindal was a key leader in the formation of the Methodist Sugar Land Neuroscience Program and served as the Surgical Director from 2013-2017. Dr. Bindal also served as President and Vice-President of the Fort Bend Medical Society.

Dr. Bindal has a special interest in advanced neurosurgical techniques. He has pioneered development of new surgical techniques in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery and cervical artificial disc replacement.. He is one of the most experienced surgeons in minimally invasive spine surgery in Texas. He is a local pioneer in cervical artificial disc replacement. He also performed the first brain surgery in Fort Bend County.
